Bishop Stephen personally endorsed a set of resources produced by the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education. A book of children’s prayers and two resource packs were launched by Bishop Stephen during an assembly at Sarum St Paul’s on Friday 27th November.
The Diocese of Salisbury, Bryanston School and Wiltshire Council, sponsors of the development of a new Academy in Salisbury, have received official government approval. Ed Balls, Secretary of State for the Department of Children, Schools and Families, confirmed that the academy bid for 11-19 year olds will go into its next phase, a feasibility study.

St John’s CE Primary School, Weymouth, has been awarded the prestigious International School Award in recognition of bringing the wider world into the classroom.
A discussion group has been formed within the Nadder Valley Team Ministry. The group is called “Women Who Lunch” and the intention is to provide an informal forum for discussion on matters of faith, over a simple lunch.

Over one hundred 10 to 11 year olds from six Church of England Primary schools in and around Warminster met together in the Assembly Rooms in Warminster one Tuesday in July, for their very own RE conference. The aim of the day was to explore some of the questions that children of this age ask about God.
The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is encouraging schools to save water and use it wisely. It has selected 12 schools to receive a free water butt, including 5 CofE Schools.
On May the 2nd the Cathedral welcomed over 250 children and their families from around the Diocese to celebrate the Year of the Child.
